Justice Njiru Nyagah

Managing Partner and Head of The Dispute Resolution Team

Justice, as his name suggests, is passionate about advocating for social justice in society. He is the Managing Partner, in charge of Human Resource and Administration and Head of Dispute Resolution and Recoveries Department.

As a certified Arbitrator, Justice is proactive in championing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and providing long-term solutions for the preventions and avoidance of risks that lead to disputes

He has specialized in legal due diligence and prosecution of matters with special emphasis on Commercial Litigation, Employment and Labour Relations, Constitutional Petitions, Public Procurement Disputes and those relating to Alternative Dispute Resolutions. 

Justice has appeared before the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal and specialized tribunals such as the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.  He enjoys advocacy and takes great joy in assisting clients settle their disputes amicably.

  • The successful representation of the President of Kenya H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto in the Presidential Election Petition, 2022.
  • The successful representation of a Client at the Supreme Court of Kenya and making erudite submissions before the court in Attorney-General & 2 others v Ndii & 79 others; Prof. Rosalind Dixon & 7 others (Amicus Curiae) (Petition 12, 11 & 13 of 2021 (Consolidated)) [2022] KESC 8 (KLR) case (the “BBI Case”) that salvaged Kenya’s constitution from unconstitutional amendments.
  • Successful representation of a multinational company at the High Court of Kenya in a public procurement dispute worth USD 12,000,000 in value.
  • The successful representation of a client at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in a dispute amounting to USD 1,080,000.
  • The successful representation of a corporate client in a dispute against 36 employees in a redundancy dispute and the restructuring of the company’s human resource department to prevent future disputes.
